How to have time to study for Biology?

I'm taking the Biology SAT on Saturday after taking Honors Biology this year. I'm having a lot of issues learning the stuff we didn't cover, especially plant physiology and the taxonomic qualifications of the variegated phylums, domains, and kingdoms. I have two MAJOR exams in school tomorrow and it looks like I'll barely be able to study them tonight, nevertheless Biology!

I also haven't gone over any animal physiology, behavior, or human physiology as in depth as the SATs want it.

What are great study methods and memorization tricks? I have the Barron's book btw. I feel like I'm drowning

Take a deep breathe, and feel welcomed to the rigorous schedule of a high school student. The best thing you can do is focus. Turn off all electronics, get rid of all distractions, and just focused. You’d be amazed how much work you can get done in a few hours when you’re completely focused. Other than that, go over Barron’s quickly, and focus on the stuff you don’t know. Good luck man!

Read a chapter in the Barron’s book and take a break (take a break halfway b/n physiology too), and go over to one of your friends or family members and explain what you just read. Explaining stuff tests how well you know the knowledge, and if you don’t feel confident about a particular part, it’ll show, so you can go back and review that. After your two major exams tomorrow, cram cram cram. Physiology, I think, is more important than plants (you’ll want to spend some extra time on this… if you’ve never been introduced to it, it’ll definitely feel like you’re drowning) and taxonomy, but you shouldn’t neglect the two latter ones either. As Redsnow said, breathe, focus, don’t get distracted, and prepare lots of food and water :]

Hey. I’m on the similar “boat” as you! I’ve taken honors Biology during my freshman year, and now I’m cramming for Bio sub.

I’ve read Barron’s twice and PR’s once this week.
PR had some nifty acronyms and Mnemonic devices.

Order: Dumb King Philip Came Over From Germany, So?

and

FARBM (Fish - Amph - Rep - Bird - Mam)

Phoelm and Xylem

Ph sounds like F. So Pholem carries Food, and it’s alive + It has the companion cells.
Since P comes before X, Companion cells go to Phoelm.

Xylem, therefore, carries water. Since it comes after Phoelm, it has vessel elements.

Ligaments connect bone to bone, and tendon connect bone to muscle. Remember, tendons are more tender (pun).

As for evolutions, memorize the graph rather than the words. It is much simpler that way.

I had this problem in May. It’s frustrating how the Bio subject test covers almost as much as AP Biology. I crammed and got a 720
