How to improve my attendence?

Hi, I just got my report card yesterday, and I noticed that I missed 44.5 days of school this year. Last year I missed like 70 some days. Can anyone help me on improving my attendence for next school year?

Thanks,
Danielle

go to school more often....?

At my school you can only miss 20 no excused days. Otherwise you lose credit.

Why are you missing school? Is it because you're sick?

Wow, that's a lot of absences. At my school, I don't think they would pass someone with that many absences. After 6 absences, you have to go to Saturday school for each absent. So, you would have to go to like 38.5 days of Saturday school if you went to my school.

Wow, I can't miss more than 9 days per semester. If I ever do, I'd fail all my classes automatically - failure due to absence.

I would say actually going to school would be your best bet here.

I think my school is 5 days unexcused then automatically fail.

I think at my school is it's 20 abcenses and then you lose credit for a class. If you;'re sick, you can get a tutor to go to you and teach you, or you can set something else up with the school.

we go by are state rules and thats 32 days absence thru the whole year...
i think i made 24-5 absences this year(but 9 in 1 quater due to 2 1 week sicknesses in one quater(I Know insane right 4+4 days missed at one end and the other of 1 quater...) and 4 days missed this semester i was sick for 4 days was out3 days in April due to a eye surgery(so thats 19 days a lone...I KNow insane right?? i missed a lot of days but ive been on vacation a few days + ive just been sick ALOT!) plus i was faking sick once for a couple of days when someone threatened to do something really bad to me and then i ended up getting really sick

Yeah you're lucky you didn't fail your classes. At my school you're only allowed 8 absences and then you get a NC (No credit--fail). And sick days count towards those 8. Go to school and it won't be a problem...

at my school if you have 11 PA's in a class(we're on block, so one "class" might be 2 absences) you have to pass the midterm/final to get credit.

are you stupid...no offense, but obviously the only way to improve attendance is to go to school.

although the posts in this thread are coming across a bit harsh, just going to school really is the only way. you just have to think of it as something that isn't optional. you can't skip for anything. it's pretty much just convincing yourself of that.

And if it's because you're sick all that time, then see a doctor about it. But if those are unexcused absences... well, then it looks like you have to arrange your priorities and break your bad habits.

Just go to school.

Pretty easy.

I never have figured out how or why people miss so much school. I understand people get sick from time to time, but come on... 44 days! Divide that by 4, and I still have missed fewer days in 13 years than you did in a single year.

Go to school. Not that difficult.

Just try to adjust to your environment, if it's for a medical reason I understand, talk to your doctor about wanting to go to school and see if there's a way to adjust to going to school more often. You Can Do IT!!!

Ironically, at my school it's 4 unexcused absences = Failure But if you have a doctor's note, it's okay.

Were you umm...stoned?

^^^lmao tht would be a logical reason....and if you were just stop getting stoned :D
