Is there a way to prepare for these classes in advance, like in the Summer?

AP US History (AHH! HELP!)

AP Psychology (I'm guessing no preperation is needed :))

AP Spanish (AHH!! HELP!!)

AP English (Ehh...)

Plus any tips are appreciated, please and thanks. :(

Your school doesn’t give you assignments over the summer for AP classes?

dude trust me, don’t prepare, not worth it. 1) AP classes aren’t even hard 2) ap exams are kinda easy to prep for 3) youre better off spending ur time doing a summer program, research, studying for math/science competitions, doing ec’s, volunteering, vacation, having fun, etc. just don’t prep for ap classes…not worth it at all

Actually, this would be nice. Not to have to do assignments, but if we have the book, what should we do in order to prepare. For example, I’m taking AP Chem next year as a junior and I want to know if there’s anything specific that would be helpful. I don’t mean like spending hours per day preparing, but maybe 1 or 2 things to help.

maybe just read through a few chapters the day before school starts…but my advice, based on past experience, is DO NOT PREPARE. in the long run, it won’t benefit you. if youre aiming for the top tier schools, then volunteer/do ec’s you are passionate about, prepare to win math/science/whatever competitions you do. that’s my advice.

Read American Pageant. Twice. Then browse over it near the end of summer. That’ll have you ready for September.

Interesting how everyone thinks APUSH is hard. It was the easiest AP Test I took by a pretty wide margin.

Hmm…this is interesting.

OK, about how much do you have to read each night for history? (APUSH)

I wouldn’t waste time prepping for APs over the summer. As if “vacations” weren’t hectic enough.

If you’re going to read the American Pageant, you’re going to have to do a fair amount of reading per day. I’d recommend reading Amsco, instead.

Also, I’d personally brush up on Spanish instead of history. The exam is difficult.

Buy a prep book and read through it if you really want to. Besides, you can use the prep book later in the year to prepare for the AP test.

IMO, American Pageant is the paragon of historical entertainment.

If you work hard throughout the school year there’s no need to do any work over the summer

US History, read some book…and be interested in history. Psych, take a nap. English…just go take the test.

I never took AP Spanish, so I won’t comment on that
