Last year I took the ACT as a sophomore and received a 32 with no preparation.
Now, after reading some of the science strategies from Princeton Review, and after studying for SAT CR, I am within the 33-34 range.

What books should I buy to raise my ACT score to a 36? I have about 7 months to do it. I am more worried about the science and reading sections, but I miss a few problems on the English/writing section as well. Is it possible to get a 36 in 7 months?

It is. Just practice and practice and PRACTICE! No book can really help you earn a perfect score… after a while, it becomes the student’s responsibility to achieve such goal.

As to answer your question, I thought Barrons ACT 36 was pretty good… I would earn in the high 20’s on the english and math portion, but when I read this book, I now earn in my mid 30’s. Reading and science are more about chance: some tests may be easier than others (as some may be harder than others).

Nonetheless, good luck!!

Agree with the above–practice, practice, practice. The Real ACT book has 5 actual tests from previous years.

alright I’ll purchase the Barron’s 36. Thanks a bunch!

I have that book. I’ll definitely go through all the practice tests. thanks for the advice!

okay will do. do you think that will be enough? Should I purchase the Princeton Review book with the 1000+ questions?

Practice, Practice, Practice. I mean like at least one full exam every other weekend.

I think you should purchase that book.
