So I took a years worth of leave of absence to save my cal grant for when I transfer to university. Now I got my financial aid package but it is without Cal Grant, I am assuming because of the leave of absence. I submitted my FAFSA before the March 2 deadline. When I tried to change school on the cal grant website early in the year I was told that it was not time yet, and it still does not allow me to change schools. I am wondering if I was supposed to do something to renew my Cal Grant after the leave of absence? Am I not allowed to receive the award for the upcoming year now that the Financial Aid Package is complete? Thanks a lot for reading.
When trying to access future school change the website says :“You cannot request a future school change at this time. This screen will be available again before next fall term.”
