I pretty much focused on studying for the SAT, now that that's over, I got to take the ACT

However, since I already worked my butt off for the SAT, do I really need to study so much for the ACT?
I mean, don't they pretty much test the same skills?

No, you don’t have to study for the ACT after the SAT. I got a 2340 on the SAT after studying for quite a bit, and I got a 35 on the ACT two months later with no prep. I recommend just familiarizing yourself with the ACT format and with the Science section, which is not on the SAT. Also, learn to manage your time because the ACT is more of a time crunch.

If you’re comfortable with grammar and math (through some basic trigonometry), then you shouldn’t have to study for the ACT. I would advise, however, that you get the Real ACT and do some practice tests. Like sd6 said, you should familiarize yourself with the format and the time constraints- the ACT questions tend to be easier, but the limited amount of time to do them is what makes it difficult. Good luck :)
