How to transfer to UC university from CSU EAST BAY?

I am a freshman in CSUEB right now. I am very interested in transfering to UC or other school in CA, such as USC and Pepperdine University. Is it gonna be very hard to transfer to UC? Which school will be the easiest one to transfer from CSUEB? Do I have to finish all the GE classes or get 90 units? What kind GPA I have to have, above 3.6?

Thanks a lot.

Hm…I think you are gonna have to take the community college route for next semester or next year because UC’s give top priority to CA community college transfers, then transfers from UC to UC or from other colleges if space is available. You should talk to your counselor about this. And for admission requirements for CSUs and UCs, you have to have the minimum of 60 units and your GE classes completed by the Spring semester to get accepted for the Fall semester.

^id go with hanucol said. and for USC and pepperdine, u need to go to each schools website and find out what u need to take to transfer over to them.

I know it would be better if I go to community college, maybe i will try to go there next quarter. Which is the best community college around SF and Hayward? Do they accept student from spring quarter. Do I still get enough time to finish all the requirements for UCs in community college since they only accept junior-level community college students. Does community college have summer school or not. Please let me know the best community college around SF or Hayward. Thanks

How about The City College of San Francisco? A good community college? A lot of students successfully transfered to UCs?

i dont think it really matter what CCC you go to, as long as you do well there.

Chabot is literally like 5-10 mins away from CSU East Bay and as long as youre not trying to take a Biology-related course (they fill up the first day of registration since everyone wants to get into nursing) you should have enough time to sign up or add some classes. Semester doesn’t start until Jan 19.
