<p>in your admissions package there should be a reply form or reply card. you reject with this card. that's probably the best (and only) way. there's no graceful way to do this unless you wanna write them a note.</p>
<p>I was almost thinking about using the mundane rejection template colleges send to students (spicing it up a little of course), but eventually just used their postcards.</p>
