<p>I know that we go to Instructions</a> for Applicants - The University of Texas at Dallas but how do we get a login and password? Their website makes it sound like only students of UTD have a "NetID" login and password, but it also says that applicants can use the site to check the status of their application. I have already submitted the application on ApplyTexas.</p>
<p>Just be patient; they will send you an email with your UTD-ID, which you use with the instructions in the email to set up an Orion account (wait two days after you receive the email!) and check your application status. </p>
<p>It is not instantaneous, but in my experience, UT Dallas was pretty quick about getting everything to me–I received the email very quickly, and was admitted within two weeks of processing my transcripts/test scores–so with all luck, you shouldn’t have too long to wait, either.</p>

I only submitted my application like 8 hours ago so I guess I have a few more days to wait. I qualify for automatic admission, so I’m mostly just waiting for the merit scholarship information at this point; hopefully they also send that fairly quickly.</p>

Unfortunately, UT Dallas doesn’t notify you nearly as quickly about scholarships as about their decision to admit you–particularly since you’re an automatic admit–they actually state in the acceptance letter that if you qualify for an AES award, they will send you notification 4-6 weeks after your admission.</p>
