Hey!
I applied to UTD before October 31st and got accepted mid-November.
Please let me know when you get the AES notifications (and post your application and acceptance dates as well). Thanks!
According to their website, they’re reviewing applicants who got accepted after November 1st. So you should receive it by January if not, give them a call. Do you mind sharing your stats?
So far the current pattern is that people receive it in the middle of the month. You’ll most likely receive it during mid-January. Somewhere between January 13 and 17th.
@Pro1234
Thanks!
ACT: 32
Top 2% of my class of over 500 students (online public school).
Around a 5.04 GPA.
National Honor Society.
Decent extracurriculars.
@Shadowsych
Thanks!!
Hey guys thought I would post my stats, tho they are pretty low
ACT: 30
Top half of class of 300 students
GPA: 3.42
Taken AP calc ab, AP gov, AP German, and College American history
Extracurriculars: German Club and Robotics
Those stats aren’t low! You’ll probably receive the “Achievement” level of scholarship, which is half of your tuition off.
I got accepted to UT dallas around 1/5/18. Should I expect possible AES notifications to come in late Februray/early March? Or is it possible that they are not even offering them anymore?
Also, do out of state applicants have a smaller chance of getting this scholarship?
@oas0903 AES is still available for people who’ve not been accepted yet until March. Your AES will most likely come out on March. Surprising enough, there are some rumors that out-of-state applicants have better chances to get AES than in-state because the school wants diversity.
Hey could y’all chance for me for an AES?
Here are my stats:
4.00/5 GPA weighted
Top half from competitive high school (Plano)
100+ volunteering hours
NHS since sophomore year
Treasurer of Chess club
Model UN delegate
HOSA member
Psychology Club officer
2 years of Track and Field
SAT: 1410
@Donald1234 I think your chance of getting any AES is quite low.
My son’s ACT score is 35, a National AP scholar with decent ECs, and he didn’t get it.
We didn’t write to beg for AES,
Needless say, he went to UT Austin engineering instead.
