<p>The title is actually a bit misleading. I'm not asking how to write the essay, but how to format it.</p>
<p>I wrote up the essay, and when I looked at the .pdf preview, there was no indents, making it very difficult to determine when there was a new paragraph. Can anyone tell me how to make it look better, thanks.</p>
<p>don't worry about it. we had a thread about it last year. There is no way you can really format it. Just leave it as it is, since it really would not make a difference.</p>
<p>However, if somehow formatting is really important to you (like you are doing something very different where format is crucial to be meaning or something) you can mail in your essay instead.</p>
<p>Yeah, I had problems with this too, and while I'm not doing anything crazy different in my essay, I need line breaks and italics to really get the point across.</p>
<p>If you do decide to mail it in separately (as I am doing), they say on the site that you can just write "will be mailed separately" in the essay box and they won't mind as long as you get it in on time.</p>
