How Trustworthy is www.collegegrid.com?

Thanks for looking.

My D is a senior in H.S. who is applying to selective schools.

Does anybody know how trustworthy the probabilities at www.collegegrid.com are? The site is a little bit buggy if you ask me.

OTH, I put in the stats of my oldest who is already in college and the results seemed good enough.

I'd appreciate any feedback. I'm especially interested in knowing whether I should enter superscored SAT scores, averaged scores, or just the latest ones.

Thanks again.

This has UChicago’s admit rate at 27.1%, when it is now 1/3 of that. I’m guessing its using some old data. It’s also telling me UChicago, Cornell, Rice, WUSTL, Duke, and Johns Hopkins are safeties solely based on my class rank and test scores, so I’m going to go ahead and say this is totally inaccurate. I would be highly skeptical of the accuracy of any of the internet chance calculators, considering how important qualitative factors such as essays and extracurricular achievement are in admissions to selective colleges.
