How Vanderbilt views work experience? Also Chance me at the end

Hello, I know that this is a little bit late, but how much does Vandy care about work experience?

Story Time:
I worked for over four years at this shop where I was first in sales, and then after apprenticing for a long time became a technician. My happiest high school memories were forged here and I learned a lot about the real world and the struggles others face. I wrote about this in one of my essays and then spoke briefly about in an alumni interview. I am not from an income bracket where I needed to work, and did it solely to prove to myself that I could make something of myself devoid of my parents help/influence. Do you think that this could be a hook for me or something that sets me apart in the sea of other qualified candidates? Any input is greatly appreciated  Thanks

Here is some other info about me:

(Alumni interview went super well and make Vandy my first choice

Personal Stuff
I go to a school that is predominantly poor with 86% of the school qualifying for free or reduced lunch.
I have Aspegers and went to Speech and OT for 8 years because of it.
I have had a job working as a bike mechanic since I was 14 and have worked there ever since.
I started to invest some of the money that I had and have from working and have been able to yield 22 to 27 percent ROI yearly for over 4 years.
I volunteered for a summer to teach young children in the Housing Authority homes.
I was on the Health Advisory Board for the school district.
My uncle earned his JD at Vandy.

When my daughter applied to Vanderbilt they had a large scholarship specifically meant for students who worked while in HS. Working is seen as something positive…not just by Vanderbilt, but by all schools. I wish you luck!
