How well do SAT scores correspond with PSAT scores?

10th grade PSAT 221
11th grade PSAT 215
11th grade (Jan. 26 '08) SAT 2290

Thanks sunset31 for your suggestions.

10th grade PSAT: 215
11th grade PSAT: 226
1st SAT: 2140
2nd SAT: 2320

9th grade PSAT: 221
10th grade PSAT: 229
11th grade PSAT: 235
11th grade SAT: 2400

^ wow .

omg i got a 235 too! does that mean i'll get a 2400 =)

10th grade: 208
11th grade: 235
honestly no prep. most of the points were from math. (im can do every problem but just make like 10 careless mistakes)

Haha I hope you do, narcissa, good luck!

10th grade PSAT: 225
11th grade PSAT: 233
11th grade SAT: 2340

...And not a lot of preparation in between. In my opinion, if you master the CR and M on the PSAT, the SAT scores will follow accordingly--it's the W that's a little bit different (because of the essay).

Wow, 2400! I think I would trade my 36 ACT for that. You in?? haha.

^why? what's the diff?

nvm .

PSAT First time: 176
PSAT Second time: 206
SAT First time: 2310

Huge differences every time.

PSAT: 200 (64 CR, 68 M, 68 W)
Diagnostic SAT: 1960 (590 CR, 760 M, 710 W)
Real SAT (Jan): 2130 (710 CR, 760 M, 660 W)

The score for each part jumped around so much, especially for my CR!

Psat: 199, 207
Sat: 2210

10th grade PSAT 225 (80R, 77W, 68M), no prep
11th grade PSAT 236 (80R, 80W, 76M), 3 practice tests
11th grade SAT 2400, 4 practice tests plus extra math sections. Never practiced the essay and got a 9. I benefited from the easy January curve, but don't count on essay not bringing you down.

10th PSAT: 218
Oct '07 SAT: 2120 (800 CR, 640 M, 680 WR-8 essay)
--I learned some vital functions math, which was at least 2 questions on my SAT in this two-week period--
11th PSAT: 220 (76 M)

I'm retaking again, this march...but the biggest thing about PSAT/SAT was the math. The PSAT math problems were a lot easier, and required less upper-level math. Sometimes learning a concept, like functions, or factoring, can significantly up your score.

okay I feel really bad now
10th PSAT: 199
11th PSAT: 219
1st SAT: 2090
looks like I'm the only one who's SAT score went down by 100.

i saw a new thread with this exact same topic on the first page, so i'm going to bump this.

thanks to everyone for their responses!
