How will a low Math 2 score hurt my chances for engineering?

I got a 720 on my Math 2 subject test. However, I do have relatively high scores in other testing for math. My sat in one sitting is 800 CR, 770 M, and 700 WR, and my superscore is 800 CR, 770 M, and 740 WR. Also, I got 750 (95th percentile) in Math 1, and a 5 on the Calc AB test, and recieved an A in the course. I am currently in AP Calc BC, and will get an A. So my question is, will my score of 720 in Math 2 hurt my chances of getting into engineering programs at the following colleges:

Hopkins, Cornell, Brown, Carnegie Mellon, Northwestern, Penn, Columbia, Vanderbilt, Duke, and University of Chicago?

Thank You.

hmm. if you could take it again I would advise it but you still should be good with your other math stats.
All you really have to do to get into these schools for engineering is prove that you are a semi-elite math and science student so I say you shoudl be fine for all of the schools but your chances are lowest at Hopkins, Cornell, Northwestern and Duke

overall, don’t worry about it you seem plenty qualified in the field of Standardized testing

I don’t think so. Your course grade and AP score are more important, and your Math2 doesn’t make you look bad. Whether you will get in actually depends on your other stats, letters, and recs. Your scores are above the bar.Consider getting a rec from your math teacher, especially if s/he can write and knows you well.
Also Bucknell has an underrrated engineering program that could serve as a safety for you…But I think your scores are great!

Thank you for making me feel better Broncosfan and oldbatesiedoc =) I also forgot to mention, my intended major for these colleges is biomedical/biological engineering. My subject test score in biology/M is a 750. Will this score and my math 1 score help to offset my 720 on Math 2?

god, you are hyper. You need to think about other things than your test scores. THEY ARE FINE. Get some good recs, do some community service, and do some research or something. That will help more than 20 more points on your test scores. Really.

Lol, yea, collegeconfidential has turned me into a college admissions/chances zombie… and I’m not worried about the other components of my app. Essays have gotten great reviews from my teachers and college transition counselor, and letters of rec should be great, class rank is top 0.5%… but for some reason this 720 bothered me lol

Ok, good.I thought you were going over the edge. You look great then, azn.
