How will colleges look at my bad sophomore year? OPINION?

Ugh ):
this year was terrible for me.
I am trying to get into a SUNY school and with these grades, I am honestly worried.

English 10 - 92
Global 10 - 87
Spanish 3 - 80
Chemistry Honors - 78
Geometry - 79

Electives (Which colleges probably won't even pay attention to)
Psychological Fiction - 94
Gym - 100
Health - 90
Photography - 94

Clubs: Relay for Life , Class of 2015 club
No sports.

Freshmen year was average, high 80s, couple 90s... no clubs

Any advice on how I should step it up next year? I am worried a lot..
Next year I plan on taking AP Psychology, along with AP US history.
I am dropping spanish, and I am taking an elective science, because I already completed 3 years of science, including 8th grade earth science.

I would say try to finish strong this year, and then work your arse off Junior year. I feel the same way - I did okay freshman year, mostly all A’s, an 88 here or there… (still should’ve tried harder). Then this year, lowest on report card was an 80 in Honors Chem. I hate Chem… I definitely have different work/ECs I can put on my app, but most are more awards and things that aren’t regular clubs, which I need… Next year, I have two APs and otherwise Honors. I’m going to get some volunteering this summer and try for NHS next year, do tennis, choose an afterschool club… and of course, I hope to get all high grades. I feel like I blew it first half of HS, and it’s discouraging when people say “but you get good grades!” when, yeah, you do, but YOU know you should be doing better.

Good luck this year and Junior year, you’ve still got over a year to “prove yourself”.

What do you want to study in college?
