how will this look?

Hi, I wanted to get people's take on my situation.

I went to community college and earned a 3.7 and transferred to the college in my home town (small, private, liberal arts college) into their accounting program. I pretty much hated everything about the program and the people and ended up dropping out, without withdrawing from my classes (had a 3.3 and then one semester of all Fs). I then worked as a bank teller for a year. Then my wife got into a program in Phoenix, and we moved there. I enrolled in University of Phoenix's ground campus accounting program and have finished my degree there with a 3.8, while working 30hrs a week as a mortgage specialist for BoA. How will admissions committees look at this past and what do I put as my GPA? Do they require all (and look closely at) transcripts? My goal is to get an MBA in accounting and become a CPA. Thoughts?

How much of the course work had you performed in that last semester before dropping out?

3 semesters total

or if you are asking specifically about the classes in that last semester…all have been retaken at UoP.

You can get a CPA without getting an MBA, all without paying high tuitions.

No? What about the 150hr requirement?

I just researched it a bit, and wow I was seriously misinformed. Thanks for letting me know, I will think more on the MBA then.

Masters in accounting seems more logical given your goals, in some states you don’t even need that (or some I’m told)
