How would a really bad mid year report effect my chances at college given my unique situation?

As of now I had a very bad mid year report, (4 C’s!!! and 2 B’s My rank went from 1 to 2) I was taking 5 AP classes and 1 advanced class, a lot of complications occurred and I couldn’t keep up with the work that I was required to do. I was gone for 2 weeks due to being sick, I had to restart an English course at six weeks due to my teacher (switched teachers) treating me unfairly (no joke she was literally trying to fail me), and I had to go to Egypt (where my Grandparent lives) for 3 weeks, due to my grandma being sick and potentially dying. My counselor put all of this in my recommendation letter explaining my bad grades and my situation. So how would this effect my chances given that my counselor explained my unique scenario?

Notes: I have had a solid GPA up until this point my grades have significantly improved since my mid year report, (expect for AP English that stayed the same) in short I had a really good shot at the school’s I was applying to.All in all the college I want to go I think I’d have a very good shot at, Georgia Tech doesn’t require a mid year report but was sent for some reason, and they consider it thoughts?

Oh and when I say that I switched English classes I switched from an school provided one to an online version and had to do all the work for the six weeks in which I was gone.
