Howard University Karsh STEM Scholars Program (KSSP)

Thank you! Same to you!

My soon to be graduating “Karshie” told me yesterday that the Karsh STEM Scholars officials have been “sequestered” and have not been on campus for a week, because they are looking through K-6 applications so everyone’s wait should be coming to an end soon. I am rooting for your scholar.

Congratulations on your Karshie! Hopefully you’ll update us on their post graduation plans.

Thanks for the update on the Karsh folks.
I guess when we started this process, first for me, we kinda thought applying EA to a range of institutions would allow us to be done much sooner. Nope. It has just been one, long slog.

Do they send out rejections also?

I read up-thread that all notifications come out the same day, but there were also instances where students were invited several days later probably because some initial invites were declined, which freed up spots for other candidates.

They have sent notifications whether a student is selected or not selected as Semifinalists in past years.

any updates ?

Nope. Nothing yet. I’ll pester my daughter to check email and portals this evening.

Not yet. No emails or portal updates.

Nothing yet for us either…

Any updates folks??

I am just looking back and seeing that no one has heard back yet. Howard University is currently on Spring Break and with students not hearing back by the end of last week gives me the impression that you are possibly in for more waiting. The remaining dates on the Karsh website are probably shifting since the math placement testing is showing that it is scheduled for this weekend. Please stay patient (I know how hard that is), because I have seen 1st hand how special this program is.
