Good luck to everyone else that's getting ready for it. Do your best and remember - a good score won't get you in, but a poor score will definitely keep you out. Just like so many other elements of the application.

w00t, tried out some of the advice I got, and I improved today. I got 58, while not a huge improvement, I haven't done better in a long time and that is very encouraging.

don't be too nervous.... and just be yourself, don't worry about "telling them what they want to hear" b/c most ALO have been doing this long enough where they can see right through you... they can keep you out but they can't get you in.

Finally, after weeks of not knowing if they were there or not, the Academy confirmed that they have recieved the two teacher evals that they were missing. That takes a lot off my shoulders. All thats left for me are the interviews. My ALO emailed me about 3 weeks ago concerning the location of the interview, and I replied a few hours later. I haven't heard anything from him since. Should I call him and see what's up? Or should I just wait for him to contact me?

its all coming together, it seems, for all of us!! hooray!

although, i had my dodmerb phsyical & everything a month ago, and i haven't heard from them, is this normal?! and am i supposed to fill out the online medical history, even though i did it on paper? the dodmerb thing, i'm so lost

Filling in the online form simply prints out what you did by hand. You don't need to fill it out if you already did it. Dodmerb can take a loooong time. I know it was well over a month before I got my PPQ!

DoDMERB takes a long time, that is pretty normal so don't worry about it. It took them like a month and a half or so to contact me. Waiting does suck though!

DoDMERB is extremely slow but the people there are VERY nice. I always was afraid to call DoDMERB because i thought the people there would be extremely hard-ass, but they are very nice. They will take time to explain everything, answer questions and do what needs to be done to get the job done.

Don't be afraid to call them and follow up. A couple of times (with waiver particularly) something got held up and calling them got it moving again.

Finally, I have my interview all set up. It's gonna be this thursday, at a local ANG Base. I'm getting kinda nervous, but I'm pretty confident that I'll go just fine. Plus, I get to tour an LC-130 after the interview, so that'll be pretty sweet. Now that I think about it, I'm actually looking forward to it! Just in case, any last minute advice from anyone? Should I crunch some current events or something like that?

Heya! I'm doing...well...okay. After reading everyone else's posts, I feel waaaay behind. I got started on this whole thing late. Being in the middle of nowhere in Germany, and then moving to the States, and then starting college, it all kinda didn't help any. But! I'm on a roll now. Interview tomorrow, other papers about done...I'm eager to get this done.

Well, I went from being Confused, to content, to confused, to content. Now, I'm just plain scared. I just got a call from the XC Coach, and he said that he wrote me a rec and that my file is going before the review board next wednesday (he's gonna let me know the next day about the results). I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but I'm not gonna let my hopes get too high. I hate having to wait like this, it's the worst part.

I called my admissions counselor regarding a medical rebuttal, and he told me that my application was sitting right there on his desk. It had already been passed twice by the review board, and was only waiting for a DoDMERB issue to be cleared up.
