HS Sophmore..need advice!! Thanks

Hey everyone, I'm a 16 year old high school sophomore female. I know it's a little early to be worrying about this stuff, but on the other hand it's really never to early!
So my freshman year I did pretty well, with an gpa of 3.8 first semester and like 3.5 or something the second semester.
But now as a sophomore, my first semester I got a 3.2 gpa and took the only ap class offered for tenth graders, ap government.
I don't have info on the second semester because I'm about halfway through it right now. I've been doing alright, having trouble in chem but I think I can manage to get a B this semester vs a C last semester.

So what I'm asking is..what should I be doing in the future?
If I continue down this path and continue to have these grades, what colleges would accept me?
Thanks so much!

Oh, forgot to mention..I'm looking at Michigan colleges only.

I would say that if you can score in the 28+ range on the ACT, you’re good to go for any Michigan colleges. Stay focused, try to finish high school with above a 3.5, study for either the ACT or SAT and go hard at it! Have fun with some extra curriculars to round yourself out :)

Poor grades early are usually not a concern, if they show an upward trend. Having a poor freshman GPA and progressively improving looks much better. Lets assume you get a 26 on the ACT and graduate with a 3.4 (semi rigorous course load) you would have a shot at Mich St. Unfortunately, unless you get a great score on the ACT (32 range) and get excellent grades throughout the rest of high school Mich U. is an unlikely reach. Look at western michigan and Michigan state! Michigan State is a good school and has excellent study abroad programs.

Great, thanks so much you guys!
