HSSSP Alum

How many of you are HSSSP "grads"?

If so, ED or RD?

Yea, Nea, or Still Waiting?

I'm an HSSSP grad. Session B, 09. ED, Yea.

among all HSSSP'ers I know.

Right now about 80%.

What is this HSSSP?

High School Summer Scholars | University College | Arts & Sciences

it's a pretty cool program. and i second what boknows said. i know a lot of people who went to HSSSP and got into WashU for the year after.

Session B, 2008. RD - still waiting....

does anybody know what the acceptance rate for the PPP (portfolio plus program) is? i know that they share the same dorms as the HSSSP and do the same activities except they take art and design classes.

The advantages of the HSSSP we have seen are:

Student gets (not a weekend, but) a five week visit to the campus.
Student gets inside scoop on the various colleges and the curricula they offer.
Interviews jointly scheduled by WashU and the student.
Personal contact with faculty - great for LoR’s later.
Status as “current student” on the WashU website long after Summer session has ended.
