huge classes=scantrons

well i took an exam yesterday, scantron as always.

I messed up and skipped a problem which led to me marking the incorrect bubble on every single problem thereafter, not finding out till i got to the last one and found out that i missed a problem somewhere.

I corrected the problem and erased the a majority of the scantron which left some pretty nasty marks.

I should have asked for a new scantron....anyway it was scored and i got a 84%, though i was certain that i got everything right...could it be that I actually didn't know what i was doing on the test, or maybe the scantron misread my actual choices because of the bad bad marks?
its Saturday right now, i will talk to professor on monday.

anyone have any experience with this?

Does your grade depend on this test? An 84 isn’t a bad grade, and unless it was absolutely going to negatively affect your grade, I wouldn’t mess with it.

No. I make sure I do it correctly. I always second guess myself and think I did something wrong therefore I always look over what I do.

Also huge classes do not equal scantrons.

I had an Econ class last year of 200 people and it was all essay and by no means multiple choice based.

So therefore your title is misleading.

I’ve certainly heard of Scantrons being mis-marked due to poor erasing. But whether your test will be hand-scored or not depends entirely on your professor. Just don’t sound too desperate when you present your case.

he is a grad student, im sure it will be alright if i ask
