HUGE Problem..

So when i applied i wasnt in top 10% (missed by 1 person), we got our final transcript and ranks and I moved into the top 10%. I was waitlisted and considered for Blinn TEAM program. Heres the problem. If i dont get off the waitlist or I'm not offered Blinn TEAM then I would want to wait until Spring 09 semester to get into A&M under guaranteed admission. The guy i just got off the phone with said if I take ANY college courses after graduation then i will be considered as a transfer student. That means I cant take college courses at a local college then transfer the next semester under the top 10% rule. Also, I have a scholarship that pays for 100% tuition and books, but if I would have to start school immediately in the fall. So going to A&M during the spring and getting in under the top 10% rule means I would miss a whole semester of possible college credit and I wouldn't get my scholarship for tuition/books (money is a HUGE issue).

So I dont know *** I'm going to do... I'm leaning towards going to Blinn regardless of what happens with the waitlist and Blinn TEAM, then hoping to transfer in. I would need a 3.2 GPA to transfer into their business school which will be extremely hard at blinn (friends talked to a guy that said Blinn is purposely difficult). I honestly dont want to do anything other than business

your best option is to just hope you get in or offered blinn team. if not, throwing away a full scholarship would just be stupid, you should go to blinn. i dont know where you heard that its hard to get a 3.2 at blinn but its really not that hard compared to a&m. go to blinn, it wont be that hard to transfer in, and you'll save alot of money.
