Hume--Bathrooms outside of the dorm rooms?

I have an illness that makes accessible bathrooms a concern. So, I was just wondering, if my dorm bathroom’s full, is there another bathroom in the building somewhere? Does anyone know? Thank you!

@Serendipital My son was accidentally locked out of his bathroom a few times in Hume, and I think he said there was a bathroom on the first floor (possibly just a one-person bathroom, I’m really not sure), and I know that there are bathrooms outside near the front desk area also that you can get into with your key fob (or maybe your ID?). I think they are unlocked during weekdays but you have to use your fob at night and on weekends.

You might want to request a room on the first floor if you need access quickly. Even if I am wrong about the inside bathroom on the first floor, I know for sure there are bathrooms outside of the front desk area. Maybe someone else can verify the first floor bathroom.

@Mobie101 There are no first-floor bathrooms but there are bathrooms with 3 stalls in each bathroom in the common area that can be accessed 24/7 with a Hume fob. They are generally empty and clean. I lived in Hume this past year.

@lcgusa, I think the first floor bathroom is not obvious, but it is there. It is just past the elevators. It is a single-person bathroom. My son lived in Hume 2 years ago and it was there. When you get back to UF, see if you can get into Hume and look for it. Maybe it was unique to his building (which I cannot remember now).

Where did he live? Was it on the first floor elevator lobby or on the ground floor? I didn’t see anything in East.

This was in Hume West.

Was not the case in East, interesting. I thought the buildings were mirror copies of themselves.

They should be mirror copies. It would be weird if it was in West but not East! Apparently it is located just after the elevators but right before the door that leads to the rooms. It definitely sounds more convenient than having to go outside to the ones in the central area.

If @Serendipital lives in Hume East, maybe he or she can report back to us in the Fall and tell us if it is there!
