Huntsman Program (early decision) and Classes This Year

Hey all,

I'm a high school junior this year and I'm considering applying for the Huntsman Program (early decision, preferably) next year. I'm a new student at this school (I'm from Hong Kong), and I actually should be in Chinese IV, but I'm forced to take Chinese III Honors because this school doesn't offer it until next year. I'm taking the AP Exam for Chinese next year, and the SAT Language Tests with Listening aren't until November, the month early decision applications should be completed. When applying for college (Huntsman included), are they only going to look at the classes I took this year? If they also look at my senior year classes, will I still have to take the Chinese SAT?

Finally, a question about target languages. While this might be strange for a Hongkonger, I'm actually not fluent in Chinese. I'm fluent in English and Japanese instead. Is it possible to have two target languages? Will it even be beneficial?

Thanks in advance.

Well a target language can’t be English according to the Huntsman website so I’d say your best bet would be Japanese!

Oh, sorry I didn’t say this, but I intend to take Chinese as my target language if I’m accepted.

Oh, well if you have taken the SAT-II Japanese exam and passed then you should go with that. Because they will need/require proof of your language ability, so I’d say your best bet is whatever language you can prove the best (usually via SAT-II).

bump up my thread.
