HYPSM - Anyone have STATS on how many get into all in a given year??

I realize this is the Harvard (only) Forum, but I have no clue where else to post my question. Does anyone here know where I can find the answer, or at least, the best place to post my question? Thanks everyone!

You should be able to figure this out by looking at how many freshmen enroll at each school in a typical year and adding those numbers together…not rocket science.

Nope - not a rocket scientist here (perhaps that’s why I didn’t attend a school like MIT :-))

On the other hand, what you replied MAKES NO SENSE! – Or perhaps I didn’t word my question clearly enough. :-(( I will have to repost it, I suppose.

But to anyone reading this, let me CLARIFY – I know of only ONE student who got accepted into ALL OF THOSE: Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Stanford, and MIT (among other top schools) and I wondered how many others managed to do this very same thing?

I can’t imagine it’s very many. (And YES, I get that some extraordinary applicants may not have even applied to all), but still, how many in the country did get into ALL 5? Ten students? two? two-hundred? Any senior members or admissions officers care to weigh in? Even your best estimate would be appreciated.

In other words, more simply put, I seek the statistic for “the same person receiving acceptance to all 5 colleges in a singular admission cycle”

OH.

I have no idea.

It would be an interesting thing to know. But I am not sure that there is any way to determine that.

Yeah … :frowning: Maybe others could simply post if they too know anyone (or if they, themselves) did this, this year, and perhaps just list the State (or Country if outside the US) of anyone who did this (just to avoid the idea of 50 people knowing or commenting on the same person in North Dakota, for instance).
