So I applied to Syracuse University 2 weeks ago, and they had two required supplements. Looking back at my application, I realized that I switched the essays that were supposed to go in the appropriate boxes. Like, Essay #1 went into Essay #2’s box, and Essay #2 went into Essay #1’s box. I’m scared that this mistake could potentially hurt my chances of getting in and I was wondering how serious this is. I’m calling the admissions office on Tuesday since Monday is Martin Luther King Day, and I’m scared that since I’m contacting them 2 weeks after my submission that it’d be too late. Please help/comment your thoughts and opinions on this!
I don’t think it’s ever too late to correct a mistake that you made, but I think you should call ASAP and let them know. It is likely that they will not care, you just need to let them know.
