I’m applying RD to Penn. I already submitted Part I of my app a while ago and said I would be applying to Huntsman. Would it be possible to switch to just apply to the college? How would this affect my chances of admission? I already said that if I don’t get into Huntsman I want to be considered for the college.

My chances at Huntsman are very low (very bad german SAT II (520)). Would I be better off just leaving my app the way it is and hope for a rejection from Hunstman and acceptance to the college? Other stats: 2350 SAT, 790 math I, 780 math II, 730 u.s. history, 3/500, 4.25 G.P.A., tons of E.C.'s, legacy.

I called the admissions office and they said if I wanted to switch I should send a letter notifying them of the change.

Thanks.

With those test scores, I recommend you go ahead with Huntsman...your SAT I and SAT II in Math are really top notch....so is your rank and GPA...and you're a legacy!

In short, applying to Huntsman doesn't deprive you of being considered for the CAS also, so if you really want to be there, don't let one three digit score shape your figure....go for it

Thanks for the input, I'll probably still apply to Hunstman

If you apply to Huntsman you will need to retest for your language if you are applying for German. They look for 720 and up for SAT2 language tests.

i would have already retested but german is only offered in november and may...so i can't

that's why im pretty sure I won't be getting into huntsman...even though i love the program i just messed up the sat II
