I am a junior in HS and as the semester is winding down I was wondering if it would be a wise decision to take any SAT Subject Tests. I'm taking the SAT for the first time in January 09 so I'm currently studiously preparing for it. I'm aiming for an Ivy League if that makes any difference in the decision.

My courses that I took this semester (and will be taking the EOC or final exam for in a few weeks) are as follows:

Spanish III Honors
English 11 AP (learned absolutely nothing in this class)
Anatomy Honors
US History Honors

For next semester (doesn't include all courses):

Chemistry Honors
US History AP
PreCal Honors

Then for my senior year (again, doesn't include all courses; based purely on speculation):

Spanish IV Honors
Biology AP
Some type of math (Calculus AP or something)

Not sure if there are subject tests for elective courses such as Spanish and Anatomy, but if such exists, I'd feel best prepared to take them before too long. As for English, I feel as if I learned nothing; the class felt like a waste of time--nevertheless, I'll be preparing to take the AP exam for the course which will be in April or sometime. For US History it may be wise to wait until I complete the AP course next semester--that is, if there is a subject test that exists for US History.

So the question is, should I consider Subject Tests? And if so, what classes should the tests be taken and when?

Thanks,

PS: I've also heard of students passing the European History(?) AP exam without even taking the course! Although I can't remember clearly, I think they took World History AP and killed two birds with one stone. Would that be a wise strategy?
