Three years ago I came to this great University with an excited demeanor and welcomed a lot of experiences whether good or bad. Right now I am jaded, cynical, and disillusioned to the point of not giving a sh*** if I even need the last year to get my degree. If you’re a freshmen reading this then be warned that the early periods of “This can be Hogwarts” is in reality a test of psychological stamina.

I’m SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED TOO!

Everyday I wake up…I’m going to be just like this girl!! walking down the streets (on telegraph):
[Funny YouTube Video](<a href=“- YouTube”>- YouTube)

^lol that’s awesome ecullen, we should start a musical day at Berkeley.

I’m stoked too. Berkeley FPF class of 2014!!

Cant wait to go back

:D lol! i totally agree

i can’t wait to get out of Berkeley though. the novelty really did wear off into the second week and now all I can think about is moving to a city that isn’t so f u cked up. But those 2 weeks were fun…

@sup3rus3r: what does FPF stand for?

Oh and is Telegraph a street? I don’t remember it. The only streets I remembered from Calso were Durant and university drive.

It’s nice to know I’m not the only one this excited. Are you guys going to the pillow fight the day before classes start?

FPF–Fall Program for Freshmen (spring admit).

Telegraph avenue is the main drag leading away from the southern edge of the campus near the bookstore and Sather gate. Plenty of stores and restaurants there.

^thanks you guys! I think I remember that place now.

We should have a count down.

20 days until move-in day!

I was walking with a friend during Calso and this homeless lady came up to me and asked me for some change. I’m like, “sorry, no can do.” And she just stares at me for a minute and says “Your nose is big,” and walks away. I was laughing my ass off.

Atlanta, LAWL.

On Shattuck, there’s this one homeless woman sitting on a bench near the public library who says “Can you spare some change?” in this sort of drawl. I’ve seen her twice, dunno if she’s still there. The first time, I gave her a banana. She preferred money though.

You should be so ******** excited to be attending CAL–it’s a great and rich place. And I think this year’s class is a particularly good one–I know some really interesting, incredibly-endowed, NICE kids who are headed to CAL, having picked it over some other wonderful schools (Stanford, Wash U., Tufts, MIT, Harvard, Brown, Rice, and Duke).

I grew up in the ghetto. And I don’t mean just a bad neighborhood. I mean the spend your welfare money on weed and Old English, rap music bumping out of beat-up old Cadillacs, don’t wear red in a Crip town ghetto.

Telegraph is nothing to me. Just a few homeless people and some “hippies”. To you peeps who grew up in gated communities, though, I feel sorry for you.

Old English?

<<<to you=“” peeps=“” who=“” grew=“” up=“” in=“” gated=“” communities,=“” though,=“” i=“” feel=“” sorry=“” for=“” you.=“”>>></to>

True enough, Atlanta 101. I grew up in Beverly Hills, and there were enough emotional casualties and damaged souls in BH to populate all of Sub-Saharan Africa.

Commonly known as “old E.” Old English 800 malt liquor. Everybody used to drink that back in the day. Now most people drink the 211 (aka Steel Reserve) because it has a higher alcohol content and it only costs like 1.29 at 7-11 for a tallboy.

These are important things to know as a college student.
