U Mich Engineering
USC Engineering
BU Engineering
UIllinois urbana engineering
northeastern engineering
U Penn engineering

School: The Hotchkiss School, one of the most prestigious in the nation, search the prep school admission forum for hotchkiss and you will see…

biggest problem (explained by GC): I didnt go to a international school when I was in hong kong, therefore my english and spanish grade sucked first year…and she also highlighted my upswing trend…

my sophomore year: top 50% …junior year: top 30%

Qualified for the supportive program for the Exceptionally gifted student by the HONG KONG Education department…

Recommendations:
1 amazing rec from my math teacher who taught me multivar and linear algebra junior year…she probably talks about my passion in math and how I self studied for AP Calc and jumped a year…she also knows me well in person.she’s also my advisor for mathclub and math team

1 decent rec from my spanish teacher who saw my spanish grade go from a C+ to A- from sophomore to junior year…and then go on to study abroad in summer

GC rec is decent

1 stellar rec from the secretary general of a UN chartered NGO as I was a webmaster, he talks about how i approached big corporations, wrote proposals and landed 2 lucritive webbanner sponsorship for the website…(maybe a hook?)

took multivar and linear junior year…plus almost qualified for USAMO, dont know whether this help for engineering …and hopefully legacy helps with ED

anyway cumilative GPA is 3.2 breakdown is sophomore 3.1, junior 3.3 senior so far 3.7 unweighted
school obviously doesnt rank, up till junior year I am in top 35% cumilatively

manbearpig

why no one

cornell engineering ED(legacy)- high match
wash U engineering- high match
Carnegie mellon info systems- match
U Mich Engineering- match
USC Engineering- slight reach
BU Engineering- safety
UIllinois urbana engineering- match
northeastern engineering- safety
U Penn engineering- reach

USC Engineering- low match

this manbearpig crap is pretty annoying.

I'm not responding with chances since I have responded to a previous post of yours with the same data.

bumping the serial

Since you like South Park, all of these schools should be safeties for you! :D

Nice job on the AIME. Good luck with the Olympiad this year.

The fact that you go to a prep school.. only being in the Top 35% is not going to hurt too much.

I'm going to say that almost all of these schools are matches with the following exceptions.
Safeties: BU, Northeastern, UIUC (if in-state, OOS-match)
Reach: U-Penn

Good luck! And yes we can tell that you are serial... too bad 2K didn't work out for you.

bumpbumnpbump

What is it you want to hear?

All the schools are SUPER SERIAL SAFETIES!!! :p

lol -_- serial is just an eyecatcher

cornell engineering ED(legacy) - decent chance
wash U engineering - decent chance
Carnegie mellon info systems - decent chance
U Mich Engineering - good chance
USC Engineering- in
BU Engineering-in
UIllinois urbana engineering-in
northeastern engineering-in
U Penn engineering- not very good chance

put rice, Harvey Mudd, and columbia Fu in too
