I can apply ED & EA, right?

I'm definitely applying ED to Cornell, but I was wondering if I can apply EA as well. I'm pretty sure I can, but I just want to be sure.

Today Tulane sent me an e-mail saying that if I apply EA to Tulane (non-binding), they'll waive the application fee, not require me to answer any of the 3 required essay questions, give me special scholarship consideration, and notify me in December.

So my question is, can I apply ED to Cornell & EA to Tulane, as long as Tulane is non-binding?

yea but if you make cornell, you have to go there, u cannot go to tulane no matter what.

Yup. Just be very sure that financial concerns or a great scholarship that might appear late in the game don't change your mind or anything.

yeah.. but how on earth did you manage to get that email from tulane?? amazing what ppl do.. lol.

I know that Tulane sends out those emails to at least all the national merit semifinalists (all 9 at my school got them)...

I visited Tulane, so that's probably why I got the e-mail.

I applied to Cornell ED and Tulane EA, so yeah, it's legit

Cornell ED's contract (at least lastyears version: it's the thing you sign on your app) only stipulates that you must matriculate if accepted. Therefore, as long as the EA (you can apply to rolling schools too) school's contract doesn't prohibit applying to somewhere else early, you're good.

I got the same email 3 weeks ago and I already went ahead and applied online and my school sent my transcript out 2 weeks ago. With the Hurricane I do not know if they even still have my application.
Do you know what, if anything they are doing with applications for 2006?
Also, do you know what the criteria was for people that they sent that offer (free app fee, no essays and schoalrship consideration)?

wait a sec. does this mean I can also apply to other non SCEA programs? that would be soo cool

As long as the SCEA school allows it, you can.

Have fun applying to a school that's currently underwater...
