This isn't binding early decision right? The deadline is november first, which is the same as ED for other schools, so I just wanted to make sure I can still ED if I submit this.

No, it is not binding. It's early action not early decision.

i got that email too
I wasnt sure if it was like a scam or something. but i guess since there is no essay and no application fee i am going to do the VIP application thing. why not.

does anyone know the acceptance rate for these VIP applications at tulane?

I got this as well through the mail but im very leary about submitting it.

me dos. 10 char

Hey, I got it too.

I decided to apply because it wasn't too much work, I needed another safety/match, and the application fee was waived. I applied Early Action just because its not binding, and my top choice, MIT (also applied EA), is also nonbinding.

Be careful OP. If you want to apply early decision elsewhere, you are not able to apply EA to Tulane. ED schools will require you to sign a statement saying you have not applied early elsewhere.

This is not the case everywhere. Read any ED agreement first.

It is certainly not a scam, nor is it binding. As to whether it locks you out of applying ED to another school depends on that specific school as Knights09 said.

I'm applying ED to cornell, and I'm pretty sure they let you apply EA elsewhere as long as it's nonbinding.
