Spanish 4 AP has been by far the hardest class i have ever taken. Ever since I entered that class everything has been going down hill. I started out with a decent 88 (bad by my standards), it went down to 82, 79, and then to 76 yesterday. After taking a test today I thought my grade would go up but it went down further to a 75. I can drop out of the class at the mid point of the semester but I'm not sure if its the right thing to do. Will all of the hard work I did in other classes go to waste just because of this one grade? What do you guys think I should do?

^it only get harder. And honestly Spanish 4 AP is the only class I study for nowadays and surprisingly my grade in that class is 17 points lower than my next lowest grade.

It is 1/2 credit. Basically on the transcript there will be a number for the 1st semester and a number for the 2nd. In my case, if I drop out, there won’t be a number for the 2nd semester.

I’ve stayed after school pretty much every day to go over Spanish 4 with my teacher. He recommends that I should pass on the AP test this year and take Spanish 5 (basically the same as 4) the next year so I can improve my skills. I don’t know if I want to continue getting bad grades though. I have never received a grade this low in my life.

If you honestly believe that you can do no better in this class (that you’re trying your hardest, to a reasonable degree), then I’d say drop it. But first tell your teacher, he might come up with ways to raise your grade and keep you in the class, if he cares.

I would keep the class. If you do, it will show colleges that although you struggled, you were able to persevere and pull out a C. And one C definitely won’t kill you (unless it’s in a class related to your prospective major and in your junior year).
