eh.. I cant make up my mind.. I'm really not sure what it is that i want to do.. I am going to be a junior next year, and its about time that i really decide what it is that i truly want to pursue. I have deep true passion for medicine, but i am not sure if i am ready to make the sacrifices that are necessary wtih this profession... and then again I truly excel and love politics and economics and such, so either law or business is also a possiblity..but I am more of a reserved person and i dont know if i am bold enough to pursue a career in either law or business.. and i know that this is a choice that i have to make myself, but i am really confused, i have no idea what to do.. eh.. some one help.. anyone else THIS confused..? lol

haha, i'm in the same boat as you.. except it's worse- i'm a senior this fall.
don't worry- you still have a few years to figure it out. shadow a few professional people and review your skills and personality. best of luck!

Are you a junior in high school? If so, don't worry, you still have a few years ahead of you to decide. Just keep your options open (don't drop your science/math courses) and continue to work hard. Have you tried volunteering or interning/working in either medicine, law, or business?

heh, im in the exact same boat as you going into my senior year.

just take whatever courses interest you, talk to professionals AND professers in both fields. just dont devote yourself solely to one study.

keep in mind that neither a pre-med or a business degree require a huge amount of courses(dependant on where you go). there's lots of room for electives.

as of now im looking at a business/pre-med double major(im well aware of the curves) so dont worry and just relax.

haha, thanks guys.. really appreciate the reply..ya, im shadowing a doctor this summer.. and for the longest time, all that ive ever thought about being was a doctor.. so now im like O-O.. there are OTHER PROFESSIONS? lol.. but like is it the same way if you want to work with a businessman or a lawyer? Do you just contact the companies or is volunteering with a professional even necessary?! What kind of volunteering positions do business people and to be lawyers do in high school? lol

You don't necessarily have to volunteer with a lawyer. My D volunteers at our City Hall and does office work, but is surrounded by lawyers. She gets a feel if that is something she wants to pursue.

ANd remember there are all kinds of laywers and all kinds of ways to be in politics without being a politician. Work on a local campaign or reforendum. It will give you some idea of what other kinds of jobs that are out there. And you can have one career and volunteer in another.

As well, going into medicine doesn't always mean being a doctor- there is all kinds of research, support, specialties that you might think about.

i feel exactly the same, i don't know what i want right now, my parents tell me be a nurse easy way to make money and you don't have to go college that long + you get to pick your days since the baby boomers are leaving, but i am really competitive and the world of business, stock broker whatever i would love to do, but then again i like arguing and i usually win so a lawyer, but i also want to explore the world so maybe a journalist, rock magazine editor, rock band manager, corporate business, math something, i am so confused, but i'm leaning towards business, corporate america maybe
