it's not that close...I'm not gonna be like redhead last year posting how many days... :)

Duke72: Try not to bring a lot to Iday. You're going to be running around and getting yelled at and the last thing you need is a heavy bag. Like, I was looking through pictures today and there was this one girl, probably 5'1" at most, and she had this bright pink suitcase that was half her height. And she had to carry it and run with it. Don't recommend that. Keep it light. Don't wear anything provocative either. I wore a shirt from my high school volleyball days and it had a really stupid quote on it and I got grilled.

On the flip side, I probably wouldn't want to be the guy in the Air Force jumpsuit either. Webguy had a few pictures of a kid in a good amount of AF stuff getting some "special attention."

Yeah, try not to wear Air Force gear. They'll get you for that one.

I was surprised to learn that Big Hair Guy from 2011 didn't make it. We got a real kick looking at that big head of hair. The AOG Webguy must have taken a ton of pictures of him. looked like every barber made a pass on his scalp.

Quote from rtbcadet15: "I wore a shirt from my high school volleyball days and it had a really stupid quote on it and I got grilled."

I have two XC shirts I could wear, the first one saying "Trample the Weak. Hurdle the Dead", and the second one saying "I'd run faster but I don't know where I am going..."

haha theyre bright red and sky blue...

I've got my Air Force polo, which I would wear underneath my AF windbreaker jacket. I'd make sure I had my AF ball cap and put my AF towel inside my USAF backpack with my AF planner/notepad, complete with USAFA bumpersticker and pen. Oh, and in case I got thirsty I'd make sure my USAFA water bottle was all filled up!

This and more is (partially) what my $300 check for summer seminar payed for.

And..........

Watching BCT cadre eat you alive................Priceless! :)

haha i love how we mock the ominous I-Day...

ok not so ominous but it was for dramatic effect... ;-)

zachogden... I think you forgot about your AF stress ball for all your I-Day stress :D

and the pens and clock :) hehehehe
and wear the shorts!

Make sure to wear the most provocative clothing possible, like this guy! You too can become a legendary basic. ;)

Credit to No Respect and the Dodo!

Shoot, I forgot about all of that (shorts/clock plus dry-fit shirts)! We got so much Air Force/USAFA swag at SS it was unbelievable. Maybe one of these days I'll see if I can put it all on at one time... I'll make sure to post pictures :)

What about that AF carabiner, you may want to use that to hold your keys.

Already do, USAFA10s! Probably the only thing besides the work out tops/bottoms that I use regularly actually.

I use the hat, backpack, and towel, but all my shirts were large (I asked for small) because my last name starts with Y. Same with my coat and polo :(
I still use the shorts though, great for running

someone stole my hat! one day it rained, so we had to leave our stuff in a heap at the gym and I lost my hat and I had to run around with my hand on my head for the rest of the darned week! :D

this is my sob story. so now I don't have a totally awesome AF baseball cap.

we got a lot of neat-o stuff

Also, friend as many upperclassmen on facebook as possible before I day. And if you want, put a picture of yourself next to an F22, and write "Living on the Edge."

Kind of an inside joke with c/o 2011.

missmuff- Nice sob story. Don't worry though, you'll have a nice blue hat to wear all of Basic!...and then you'll want to throw it away since it's so filthy. :)

Just wait. Some of your (future) classmates will actually wear stuff like that to I-day. Don't be like them unless you're a little more brave than most.

I think I heard about the "living on the edge" guy. Nice!

Oh yes, Falcons, can't wait! :)
