I don't know if people can help but: HOUSING

I'm trying to break contract but how likely do you guys think it is that a replacement will be found for me in time for next semester?

I want to accept my co op housing offer but I can't until they find a replacement for me at the dorms. How likely is it that I'll be replaced by next week on the 16th? I turned in my request to cancel last week. I'm scared that I might be unable to find a place to live because the housing office told me that they roll people into the dorms through january, and I just don't have that long. Would I be able to take back my housing cancellation?

My friend took an entire month before the request got through. All I can say is if you want co-op you have to push it everyday and hope they speed it up.

I sent in my request like mid October and kept e-mailing them into November and December…they kept saying they’d get back by mid-November, then late November, then early December…
Well, I started losing hope, but then they finally notified me on December 4th at exactly 4:00pm that my request had been granted. What is that? More than a month of frustrated waiting.

As for “taking back your housing cancellation”, once they cancel it I don’t believe you’ll be able to change your mind. However, if your deadline for accepting co-op passes and you decide to take back your cancellation request before they’ve found a replacement, I believe that is possible. Talk to the housing office about it to confirm if my words are true, of course.

heyy are you a girl? Because my friend needs housing for next semester but didn’t get an offer.

Yes I’m a girl living in Foothill double in a suite. Can I tell them that she wants a foothill replacement and have them replace me?

as for the rest of it: thank you guys so much. I’m bugging them every day, but I’ve decided that if they CAN’T find someone by the 16th, that I’m going to stay here even though the food isn’t great and it’s expensive :, I mean what else can I do?

kinda glad i didn’t get foothill this year. they totally are killing the freshmen with that a la carte bs.

stinabitten, is the offer still there?
i need housing for next semester. and i’d love a foothill double…

So, I’ve been replaced, and the way that they do it is you put your preferences and they’ll see if there’s a room available. They assigned someone to my room, but that isn’t to say that there ISN’T one open. You should ask if they have any. Call the Housing office.

Congrats. =)
I’m finally going to turn in my form today. So there will be spots if those cal housing bums do their work.

this q is a little off topic, but i didn’t want to make a new topic for it.

so i just got my dorm at foothill, (for spring), when is the soonest possible date i can move in.

just find it in the calendar
