I feel like I wont get into the Ivy League....

I know i'm lacking the confidence needed to enter the cut-throat admissions process ahead of me, but I feel I am not suitied academically for an Ivy League school. I would LOVE to go to almost any ivy and I love Stanford, Georgetown(SFS), Chicago and many others. Right now I would love to get into business(finance, definitely), law, or politics. I just feel I am not of the academic calliber that these schools desire and adhere to. Because I am a URM I feel that is the reason people are saying "in" native american. I would like to hear a more detailed response.. I am just afraid I will end up with a pile of too many reaches and too many rejections in the long run, with no safety schools to really back me up. I also felt like I buttered up my EC's a little too much, not really showing what my passions were before. I guess I got a little college greed.

Here are my stats:

-Native American male(URM) from Oklahoma at a top 300 school. I dont know how. School never sends kids to top schools...one to Duke this year but that was a miracle.

-2100 SAT, 32 ACT-WIlLL DEFINITELY COME UP. I am studying very hard for the SAT...very hard. From Practice Tests, I am scoring in the 33-34 range on the ACT(I know these tests are not very reliable though)

-3.7cum GPA(3.5frosh year), about 3.8 from then on. Rank is iffyrobably top 4-8% if not higher

-AP Scores: All 4's and 5's, but no AP Calc or AP Physics. Hardest was probably AP Chem

-Only 2 years of a foreign language(terrible counselor advice), and math through Pre-Calc(not an option)

-ECs: I have a few passions
1. Tennis-I am a nationally ranked tennis player at a top 10 junior club in the US. This takes up a ton of time, and I play on varsity as well-I have been the only player from our team to make it to state..ha we are terrible, but state is actually a big feat here
2. Stuco-Leadership-I am a student council officer at the school and I am one of the few kids to stay involved for so long. I LOVE doing this at school-It makes the day/months/years so much fun and I wish I could do it forever. Im not sure if colleges will realize it but this takes A LOT A LOT A LOT of time. Like hours and hours during the school year. I have been to 4 leadership camps BASIC/Advanced leadership, all of which are invite only and highly selective. I was also the district 7 represenative for our school(One person picked per school to represent school in entire state student council convention).
-I had a small art business but it was really nothing spectacular and I doubt I will even mention it as it really does not tie into anything else.

What do you guys think? Are TU and University of San Diego okay to only have as safeties?

Native American. 2100 SAT. Nationally ranked tennis player.

you will most likely get accepted into an ivy league school. However, if you feel that you aren't suited for an ivy league school, then don't apply. Don't torture yourself for 4 years.

Haha well the tourturing is almost over...I have excellent study habits but I guess its just lack of confidence on my side.

do u wanna play in college?
how well ranked are you nationally? (top 100,50,500..)
you have a great shot anyways but being recruited would seal the deal

come to ucla, dude, we can play tennis together

@hater, what kind of reply is that? some kid who wants good advice and you just tell them to go play tennis with you???
:D

but seriously, i think you need to get your SAT into the 2250-2400 range and you should be fine. With an excellent essay, and teacher recs, i think youve got a decent chance...

thank you all for your replys. I would love to get my scores within that range, but I think that the ACT is the score that is going to come up more. How does this affect me?
