I feel like I'm missing something

It's me again. Stats: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/968470-chance-me-duke-chicago-ed.html (changes to that: 3 AP/3 Reg for senior year rather than 2/4, taking another 2 CC classes during fall and 1 during spring, SAT is a 2230 not 2210, and remove all work experience)

Here's what I'm considering in terms of schools: Northwestern, Chicago, USC, Michigan, Carnegie Mellon, Rochester, NYU, Emory, mayyyybe Davidson College

Ok so after some evaluation I've come to the conclusion that Wharton is completely out of reach and I shouldn't even try, Duke is probably the same thing, and NYU Stern might just be more of a reach than I had originally thought. My feeling now is that I'm missing some options between places I could probably get in (CMU Tepper/HSS, USC, Michigan) and schools that are reaches (Chicago, Northwestern). Is this normal? If not, how do I fix? Opinions?

Perhaps check some of the business undergrad rankings on CC. You might be able to find a college that’s easier to get into than Stern, but around the same level.

List looks good. Wharton does look like a high reach.

Be sure you have a safety school.

Since you are on a pre-business/econ track, perhaps add a few Ivies.

@noobcake What would you suggest for safeties and “a few Ivies”? The first one that comes into mind for the Ivy one is Cornell.

Yeah after some thought, I STILL feel like there’s that missing school that would be between match and reach…wth

I’m trying to figure out why you think you need to fill in the “void” between Tepper/USC/UMich and Chicago/NW?? There is NOT that much of a gap.

Might look at Patriot League school that have strong business alumni networks-Bucknell, Holy Cross, Colgate.
