I’ll admit it: I don’t get this fascination with the Romanovs. But, there are TONS of people I’d want to meet–Alice Paul the most, maybe, but just 'cause I love her. :]

Wow, this is a Romanov-loving place… But I’m not really a Romanov-lover, so think I’d rather meet Virginia Woolf. I mean, I think I have an idea of what she’d be like personality-wise, but I think she’d be super interesting to talk to.

Napoleon Bonaparte, hands down.

Joseph Conrad - only to tell him that I flunked my “Heart of Darkness” test. :p

I was actually going to say that I’d like to meet Virginia Woolf too, but I don’t know what kind of conversation I’d have had with her. She was a very sad woman during the last few years of her life. Her husband, however, was notorious for being a regular client at the brothels in my country. Ha.

FDR, Golda Meir, Thomas Jefferson or Emma Goldman. \m/

People I forgot: Sylvia Plath and Virgina Woolf–who I thought of before reading everyone else’s responses. The overlap in people’s interests is very cool…I wonder what it says about us? :]

Oh i also forgot to mention Queen Elizabeth I and Harriet Tubman
On a more modern note, Is anyone else totally impressed with Michelle Obama? I would love to meet her! (and her husband too lol)

Oh, right, Queen Elizabeht I! And Emily Bronte, too.

Haha, I have some additions to mine, too: Thoreau, Susan B. Anthony, Jane Austen…hooray!

sonjanicky, yeah, Michelle Obama is definitely more than I expected, especially since she got all that bad press in the beginning about not wanting to be First Lady and not being proud of America. I guess I’m kind of waiting for confirmation in the form of more time and more stuff, but her poise and her intelligence is definitely making an impression on me. Not to mention her husband. Haha, I’m a liberal at heart.

Yeah^ I am a still on the fence too but i just love how she presents herself. Very articulate and poised.

I’m not a HUGE Michelle Obama fan, although I made peace with her husband after the bloody primaries (~unity~, and all). I’ll wait to judge her in a few years, though; I hope she’ll become more impressive as time goes on.

…however, Hillary, Edith, Abigail and Eleanor are all my homegirls. ;)

I would want to meet Jane Austen to ask did her Mr. Lefroy look like James mcAvoy. If so, lucky lucky woman. whistles
