I got 184 on my PSAT (good enough for summer seminar)

What are the chances I will get in?

And more importantly, are there any tips on the application that I can write to help me get in?

There is also a remarks box at the end, is there anything I can write to help increase my chances of acceptance?

can't tell you much from just a test score...

but I got into summer seminar with a 178 PSAT (later got a 2280 super-scored SAT), with loads of sports, extra curriculars, and leadership roles

good luck

I got into SLS with score of 152. So, I guess, score doesn't matter much???? lol good luck.

That's a pretty good score. Definitely above average, if that helps.

"any tips on the application that I can write to help me get in?"

Apply early

If you feel that anything was not explained well in the application add it to the remarks section eg you may need to work and that may limit your time for extracurricular activities; or you may not be on a Varsity sports team, but you may be involved in Martial Arts or a traveling Ice Hockey Team etc.

PSATs are considered in conjunction with the rest of your file - USMA is looking for academics, athletics and leadership.

Good luck!

I recently applied for the SLS too but I was unable to take the PSAT so I did not submit a score, I am waiting on my SAT and ACT scores though. My academic record otherwise is pretty good (1 out of 268 class rank) I play varsity sports and participate in student government, NHS, etc.. Do you think I can get in without having sent PSAT scores? Will they let me update my profile with SAT and ACt scores when they come out?

you look like a very well-rounded candidate. i think you're definately in SLS, if not the actual academy, but then again im goin off what you just stated
