My composite score was 19, English 20, Math 23, Reading 15, and Science was a 19.

Ive only taken pre alg., algebra I, and geometry. I want to know if i will do good in math in the future?
I really understand geometry and strugle a bit in algebra.
What can i do to raise my math score?
I feel kind of gulty i didnt speak up because i couldnt see the clock ever during test time and i'm wondering if it probably effected my score.

After you take algebra 2 the math section turns into a joke. The only problems that should bother you are trigonometry questions and there are only 4 of them so you could easily pull off a 30+ on math. If you want to improve you ACT composite score, try to improve on your other sections. The only reason i ever scored below 25 on any section was not because i was dumb or “wasn’t good” at the section, it’s cuz i didn’t try. My reading went from 21 to 28 after some effort. good luck

If you can, get yourself a study book and practice. That’s what’s going to help you out the most. The more practice problems you do, the faster you’ll be able to recognize the different types of problems and answer them correctly. Good luck!

Look at the breakdown of your score on act.org.

If most of your incorrect answers are categorized as “Plane Geometry/Trig”, then you should do much better once you take trig. However, if your losing points on pre-algebra or coordinate geometry, you’re not in great shape.

The Trig. I got because we had a lesson on that in geometry like 3 weeks before i took the ACT.
During the test I couldnt see the clock so i speant time on alot of the first questions. So the 5 min. timer went off and i had like 9 problems left, and i tried to work on the last 3 geomety problems i didnt get yet, and the 1st one i didnt get to finish cuz the 5 mins was done so i know thats why my geo/Trig wasn’t so great. So if i could have saw the time i think i could have almost scored perfect in that section, I’m bumbed :(
