I got a D in stats = credit but it's required for my major?

I am a business major and stats is a required course and also counted as a GE. I got credit for stats as a GE but for my major prep it was not counted since I needed at least a C. I chose the WORST professor for stats and it was just a horrible semester in that class. I do have the option to retake the class an I want to. I’m not sure if I should do it this semester or if I should just wait until next semester. I have to apply for a course forgiveness but it is not allowing me to request because I technically passed the class. I called the place I had to call to resolve this but I don’t think they’re working yet until the semester starts up again. I will try to call again tomorrow. As of now, I’m just gonna choose all my other classes and exclude stats until I can get all of that stuff resolved. I was going to opt to do it in the summer but the professor i had for stats is teaching during the summer. She was the absolute worst professor. I don’t want to go with any professor, I want to go with a professor that will actually teach but I know for a fact that this stats professor will be full by the time I try to go crash the course. I also really just want to take a break from the math and take stats next semester. I know I should take stats this semester and I really would not want my financial aid to be affected (it probably won’t because I have met all the academic requirements) Should I just crash a course or should I just wait until the fall to take it? I’m a finance major. Thank you!!
