Truth. Im one of their Olympic athletes.

Well then, go **** yourself.

hey now. i was rejected even with the support of a coach, and I’m pushing for the olympics.

clowiebear - congrats if you really were a supported athlete. From what I heard it was a bloodbath this year, even for us.

I have patents… deferred.

Guys, it doesn’t matter who has what… No need to bring competition into this place.

Now please, back to the OT… Thanks.

@frosty: my sport isn’t one Stanford has. But I’m
Probably going to stop(I don’t rly think
It’s “quitting”) anyways.

@sic_infit
sorry, you got rejected. get over it.
insulting people who were accepted isn’t gona make it any different =P

personally, i don’t agree with the amount of preference that some schools give to some athletes, but i’m not goin around complaining about it anonymously on CC. clowiebear seems like a very qualified student who deserved to get in, and we, as a CC community, should be happy for the students who are accepted.

OP, the ad-officer doesn’t really care about your birthday; she’s just trying to snatch you away from HYP as soon as possible. hahaha. I’m sure it was nice, though.

@Lobzz
I know but it’s still cute :). And it’s not HYP but cheap state school they have to worry about

I guess the state school is getting you then… :)

No I’ll probably end up at one of hyps.

You’re kidding me right? You’re not 100% going for STanford, even though you said it was your top choice?

It may have been HIS top choice, but not his parents’.

I’m pretty sure Clowiebear is a girl.

That sounds awesome that you got a card from your ad officer. Happy belated birthday and enjoy the holiday break! I really think it’s the little details that make Stanford even cooler.

haha yeah i am a girl.

yeah i might have to take on an 80,000 loan before my 18th birthday. something i’m not jumping to do. but most likely i WILL end up at Stanford.

high five for rubbing it in other people’s faces! They admit a really small number EA (and altogether, for that matter), so I don’t see how it’s hard for an adcom to write letter to you. Keep in mind, each adcom is assigned to a certain region, so he/she only had to write a couple (probably more, since you’re a cali. resident).
