there is a TON of spyware in poisoned

ewe Mac!!! gross, but it sounds like a mighty nice program, with Gnutella and FastTrack, as well as others.

Well, if you don't want to spend too much money, but want something thats more afe that limewire, you could always try Yahoo, which is only like 7 dollars a month for how much music you can download. But I dunno how much they have, since I've never used it.

Limewire hasn't caused me any problems in the few months I've had it.

Then again, I have this extensive virus-detecting program ;).

With other MP3 players, you can dl songs from Limewire onto it?

I assume that if the music you download off LimeWire is MP3, it should work with any MP3-compatible player

Does anybody else use WinMX? I know it's kinda old, but still seems to work well for me

All .mp3 files will work on MP3 players. Some players also accept other file types like .wav, although lossless formats (.ogg, .mpc, .ape, etc.) most likely won't because it takes too much processor power.

I used to use WinMx but then they shut down recently apparantly. Legal problems, I heard

so as long as you download clean files, nothing but music, youre good to go on limewire?

Yes. Limewire is very safe if you are an intelligent downloader.

Which I am NOW. hehe.

Oh please people.

Yahoo! Unlimited is $5/month. 5 dollars. How can you beat that?

http://music.yahoo.com/unlimited/

You still pay 79 cents a song

bittorrent, as mentioned, is invaluable. mIRC is also outstanding. both of those are 10000 times better than any p2p client.

Use Bearshare lite. It is the best p2p software with absolutely no spyware, adware, popups, or viruses. Highly recommended. Make sure you download Bearshare LITE and not the regular Bearshare.

Im gonna have to endorse limewire. ive used it for 2 years and it has filled two ipods and numerous compact discs.

Bittorrent isnt very anonymous. I only use it for massive files.
