I got in. Now, about scholarships and financial aid...

If I'm elligible for scholarships, do I have to fill out anything? How and when am I notified about anything about scholarships? Also, I have to apply for financial aid by March 15, right?

but just wanted to say, "Congratulations!" It must feel great to have that acceptance already.

I don't know your gpa and test scores, but if you think you are in the zone to get into schools that guarantee to meet family need, are you going to apply to some as well?

^ Sorry, can you rephrase that again?

And thanks for the congrats, 2blue. I'm not really feeling overly joyous or happy, though. I knew I was going to get into Rutgers, since it was my safety school. In all honesty, I'd probably become ecstatic and excited if I get into the other schools I'm planning to apply to. Although, it's great knowing that I'm actually accepted into a college.

It is nice to know you've got that safety. Hope we get to see some of those ecstatic posts from you as you continue with your applications.

What's your rank and SAT scores (on the old scale)? You should've already gotten a merit scholarship along with your acceptance if they were high enough.

BTW which school (s) did you apply to and when? Just wondering. I applied a few weeks ago and still haven't gotten a notification of acceptance/rejection.

My rank is 4/91 and my SAT score is 2000, which I believe is around 1330 on the old scale. I applied to The School of Arts and Sciences on the 23rd of September. I honestly did not think I would get notified this quickly.

That's a good rank/SAT score. I'm surprised you didn't get at least a few thousand. They used to have a chart saying the percentile and SAT score they require for you to get a scholarship, and if I remember correctly you'd be in the $2000 or $3000 range...but they actually took that chart off-line this year, so I guess they're being more selective/arbitrary with scholarships these days.

Good Luck!

It says on the site "Scholarship notification is sent subsequent to the letter of admission and no later than April 15." So I should expect a letter saying that I'm getting a scholarship (that is, if I do get one) by April 15, even without applying for financial aid, right?

Man, you're lucky, I applied on the 8th of September and still no word on anything. It just says "In Process" everyday. Must be nice to have that sense of security. Congrats!

CONGRATULATIONS! =)

and yes, your scholarship info should come with your official admission notification in the mail, IF and IF ONLY you wrote a personal statement as part of your application. if you did not submit a personal statement, you are not eligible for Rutgers scholarships.

also, go ahead and fill out a FAFSA and have it sent to Rutgers for additional financial aid.

PLIU1017 - the reason why your application is still in process is because you've applied to the highly competitive pharmacy program. they tend to deliberate thoroughly and take their time with applicants to that program so you can expect them to take a while with their decision. i wish you luck with that!

Congrats man. Mine is still "in process."
