I got in!

rouxbo! Fantastic, congrats. My D really liked Honors Weekend, cemented her decision to pick Tulane over a few higher ranked schools (well, that and the money, lol).

$22,000 and Honors college for S. Sooooo happy!

Hey hey college! You really hung in there. Congrats!

thank you fc…you are definitely an asset to Tulane.

Wow, you are very kind to say so. Thanks.

Thank you FC, we’ll see how things shake out. As it happens, so far this year, she is making her best grades yet in 5 AP courses and 1 honors course, so maybe we could make something of that later on. Thanks for the encouragement.

That sounds awesome. I think you might have a good case. She had to be on the border line, IMO (which doesn’t get a vote, lol). Good luck!

Just found out on Gibson that I was accepted!!
Now I’ll just wait for the scholarship offers (HOPEFULLY!!)…
2230 SAT
4.0 UW/ 4.83 W
Hopefully I get at least the 15K?

to echo others - Honor’s Weekend sold me on tulane as well. it’s the only school-run opportunity to stay on campus with current students before the may 1 decision deadline. definitely worth the trip.

zazzle - Assuming everything else looks good, that’s $22-25,000 territory, more likely the latter. You should be thinking DHS.

Excuse me for this little aside, everyone: Vitrac, you need to clear out your PM box, it is full.

OK, back to regular programming.

Thanks, will do

Ah! That’d be awesome! Fingers crossed :)

Saw this Tulane Admissions twitter today:

TulaneAdmission Tulane Admission
Lots of our early admission decisions are going out. Congratulations to future members of the Green Wave Class of 2015!

Good luck everyone!

Son has been accepted with Presidential Scholarship and Honors. Very quick response (less than 30 days). Working on Dean’s Scholarship application which will be needed to attend due to cost. Tulane is son’s first choice. Stats are:

ACT: 34
SAT: 2180 did not submit as received after application submitted
Weighted GPA: 3.7
Large public high school in Mississippi

proudmsmom - Congrats!! That is just wonderful, good luck to him on the DHS. DO you mind if I ask what his unweighted GPA is? Also, I think the 34 on the ACT is a bit better than the 2180 SAT, so really no reason to submit it anyway.

Not sure of unweighted. 36 math ACT and 800 math SAT. 3 AP last year (4 & 5s) and 5 AP this year. Lots of EC focusing on academic competitions, band and theatre. Internship this summer in stem cell research and has job previous two summers.

New to postings. Where do you get average stats for this years accepted Tulane applicants.

There is no place that has that as far as I know. I am not even sure Tulane publishes the stats for accepted students, just the ones that enroll. Some schools do both, and I know Tulane has in the past, but I haven’t seen the accepted students ones in a while.

Welcome to the Tulane CC family!

Accepted applicant stats will be higher than admitted. This true for most schools. For example, USC publishes its stats for those applying, those admitted, and those attending. Last year the average GPA for applying students was 3.5, for admitted it was 3.8, and for attending 3.7. SAT scores showed a similar trend.
