Well even though UM was a safety, I’m still glad I got in somewhere. I was starting to get anxious b/c a lot of my friends had already been accepted somewhere and I hadn’t yet. Its funny b/c I didn’t even know I had an online account until 5 minutes ago and I checked the status of my app. Go figure.
Still waiting to hear about merit aid decision (I should qualify for 75% tuition here) and applying to the 7 yr. BS/MD program.

I too applied but have heard nothing. I really want to know about the merit stuff because I've heard that they don't have as much money to go around as they have had in the past... will be interesting.

FYI ntbad: There is a little "EASY" link above the Miami title and there you'll get a logon screen where you, well, logon. You can use your SSN or UM ID.

congrats, leejwwc. I hope this is the university of miami that's not actually in miami. the one that's actually in oxford,.....ohio. I've always wanted to know of someone who got in there.

Congratulations! It was one of the schools I initially considered, but I'd rather wait until visiting the school before applying, so maybe I'll check it out later on.:)

It's University of Miami (Coral Gables, FL), not Miami University of Ohio. I actually got the package in the mail today and found out I got the Ashe scholarship (75%). I'm really happy about that!

grxkn - UM is a pretty small school compared to UF, which are the 2 campuses I've visited so far. I think its about 300 acres (compared to 3000 at UF) and everything is very close and convenient. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk from 1 end of the campus to the other and the layout is pretty nice - all the dorms and dining is on 1 end, then theres athletic facilities, more dining, bookstore, library, a lake, pool, etc. in the middle, then all the academic bldgs. and administrative stuff is on the other end. The medical school's campus is not on their main campus which is mostly undergrads.

I'm making myself crazy waiting for my letter - nothing in the mail, nothing on EASY, but it seems as though many people are hearing good news!
good luck to all of us

no the HPME program admissions is sometime later. The supplemental app for that program was due on Jan 15 and they narrow down the applicants and call ppl back for an interview to narrow down even further sometime in march I believe. I think those acceptances are in april.

two days ago when i signed in to EASY i saw admissions options. yesterday i got the "congratulations" screen, and today i got my letter, if that helps any of you with time frame.

just wondering, what were your stats for the Ashe award ?
iceangel, congrats on getting in - sorry you didn't get the merit award you were hoping for...

as for me, still no letter, but EASY site does look different today - gives me an admissions page, but no "congrats" - YET :)
