(i applied to UM ann arbor and Eastern Michigan University. I'm considering the community college, and change my mind as to where I want to go about every three seconds. I envy you, as you most likely are much more decisive than I am.)

Good job on the SATs and GPA ... :) good luck with the rest of the schools. waiting for a reply is the worst part.

yeah it really is...i frantically check my email and mail and i get super excited to see the mail man

How did you score so much lower on critical reading that writing? Interesting...

everyone asks me that

to tell you the truth i find NOTHING similar between the two sections

cr is testing your ability to intrepret text and answer the way they want you to answer

writing is more your knowledge of basic grammer

i just dont see similarities

Both involve reading comprehension and analyzing passages. Besides. There's a high correlation between critical reading and writing scores.

really? i didnt see any correalation...lol

but to tell you the truth i just find grammer really easy so i got almost all the multiple choice right...i got only a 9 on the essay though so they lowered it

i know someone that got 800 on verbal and 630 on writing

i think high writing can either correlate to high CR or high math. There are two ways to do well on the writing section.
1) Read a lot. This will also make you a good CR person.
2) Be logical. Since the SAT Writing is based on a set of grammatical rules, it can be learned and simple logic can be used to solve every problem. With the essay, a structured, logical form will get you the same high score that a creative writing essay will get you.

i like to read alot...i just really couldnt get the cr section for some reason...idk i studied for it...i just couldnt understand the whole idea of it...oh well...im just happy sats are over for good

also i think its possible to do bad on both math and cr and still do well on writing

writing is the only section that requires nothing really but a memorization of rules (the multiple choice portion)
